We may disclose your personal information to Approved Distributors of Beam Vacuum & Ventilation in order to provide a local service as requested by you.

If we or substantially all of our assets are acquired by a third party, data we hold about you will be one of the transferred assets.

We may disclose your data to third party payment service providers from time to time engaged by us or any group of companies from time to time in order to process any payment transactions made over this website.

In some circumstances, we may have to disclose your personal information in order to comply with a statutory obligation. For example, we may be required to give information to legal authorities if they so request, or if they have the proper authorisation such as a search warrant or court order. BEAM VentSMART Mobile Application

When you register to use our BEAM VentSMART mobile application, customer information will be held on a server provided by Titon Hardware Limited, who will be the Data Controller. Please note that wherever possible information has been encrypted and only non-sensitive and information required for the operation of the App and server are in viewable formats. All traffic between the App and the server is encrypted.

Registration Date/Time Database No When the user's account was registered, regardless of whether they have completed the account activation.
User Status Database No Shows as 1 or 0 depending on whether user has completed the account registration or not.
Validation Code Database Yes This is a user specific code which is emailed at first sign up to activate the account. It becomes redundant information once the user activates (and their "User Status" changes to 1).
Phone System Database No The OS of the device that the account was last signed in with – "Android" / "IOS".
App Version Database No The version of the app that the user last signed in with.
Language Database No The language that the user's device is set to. This is used to select the language of the emails which are sent to that user.
App Package Database No This is a unique identifier of the app which the account is using.
User Driver Database No A database table called user driver contains a link between user accounts and the units that they have connected to that account. This is stored as JSON and contains:
  • Description of each unit. This is user customizable so that they can give it a more user-friendly name.
  • Unit ID: This is the MAC address of the wireless module.
  • Password: This is the password to connect with the module. This is encrypted and cannot be read.
Server › Module Communication Log file No Whenever the server communicates with a module (which is always instigated by the module itself), the module's IP address is recorded in standard log files along with a timestamp. No data sent to or from the module is recorded.
App › Server Communication Log file No When an instance of the app connects to the server, it records the following (with the date and time of the communication):
  • The IP address that the app connects from.
  • The user account which is connecting.
  • The app version that the user is connecting with.
  • Web page connected to on the server. This shows which page in the app the user is using, but not which settings they are sending.
